"Buy Quiet" - EU directives, national implementation and the advantages of harmonized standards Lecture is in GERMAN
The selection of quiet machines is the most effective method for direct noise reduction at the workplace and in the environment. European directives and their transposition into national law are therefore directly aimed at reducing noise at source and promoting quieter machines on the market. European standards support this approach. These enable manufacturers to determine robust noise emission values for their machines and to compile appropriate noise emission data. Purchasers are thus enabled to fulfill their legal obligation to select as quietly as possible when purchasing new machines. The lecture will present the legal framework, the benefits of using harmonized standards and the opportunities for companies and the environment.
